What is it about?
Our Certificate in Adult literacy course is flexible and totally free to employees and volunteers. Furthermore, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification (level 2 is equivalent to GCSE A-C Grade).
How is it delivered?
The course materials are provided on-line, supplemented with as much tutor support as you require. You can either come into our learning centre or study at home at a time most convenient to you.
Firstly you will have an initial assessment which identifies any skills gaps. This means that we give you the right level of learning materials for your ability. You will receive guided learning, through study materials and revision activities, to ensure that you are ready when you take the test.
Course units include:
· Reading everyday texts · Persuasive texts and written arguments · Reading strategies · Writing · Sentence and grammar work · Vocabulary and word work |
